When the Enterprise is infected with choriocytosis, a disease fatal to Vulcans, Mr. Spock realizes he has only three days to live. The Enterprise attempts to rendezvous with the S.S. Huron, which carries the cure, strobolin, but the Huron is mugged by Orion pirates.
