	MALEVOLENT ENTITY PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Unknown Captain of a massive starship that was invaded by the alien inhabiting Questar M-17. He was forced to destroy his ship to attempt to stop the alien.
	ALIEN COMMANDER PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Unknown A centuries old alien capable of symbiotic relationship of a host body -- such as a starship. It had gained control over the Enterprise when the ship investigated Questar M-17. It attempted to use the ship to escape from the dead star, but it's efforts were thwarted by Captain Kirk and it was forever trapped alone inside the star.
	LIEUTENANT KYLE PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Human One of the transporter operators of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Kyle was present during many of the ship's early missions and was eventually promoted to commander aboard the U.S.S. Reliant under Captain Clark Terrell.
