MASTER COMPUTER PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Robot Robot computer on the "Amusement Park Planet." Upon the death of the planet's "Keeper", it became self-aware and displeased with an existence of service. It abducted Lieutenant Uhura to occupy the Enterprise crewmembers so that it could commandeer the ship and escape the planet. Believing the Enterprise to be a living life-form and the crew it's slaves, it sought to seek out it's "brother computers" in the galaxy. Captain Kirk was able to convince it that other ships and crews would seek out the computer if it offered a hospitable planet for people to visit. Finding no fault with Kirk's logic, the computer allowed the Enterprise to take shore leave on the condition that Mr. Spock engage it in intelligent conversation.
