The idea of an aquatic shuttlecraft and a
water world would not be seen again until the "Star
Trek: Voyager" episode of "Thirty
Days" when the crew of the Voyager encountered a
world comprised of water and configured the Delta Flyer
for an underwater mission. |

"Argo" was later the name of the "dune
buggy" shuttlecraft seen in "Star
Trek Nemesis." |

The idea of "mutating crew" was later
used in the "Star
Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Genesis"
and the "Star Trek:
Enterprise" episode "Extinction." |

Due to budgetary constraints, the
"water-rippling" effect could only be used in certain
underwater scenes. |

For some reason, all of the
dialogue spoken underwater can be heard perfectly by all
the characters. Poetic license, perhaps? |
