	TCHAR PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Skorr Hereditary prince of the Skorr and master of the Erie, Tchar feared that the lost Soul of Alar would cause his people to revert to a warrior race and breed legions of blood-thirsty Skorr that would ignite a galaxy wide holy war. However, it was Tchar himself who stole the Soul of Alar, feeling that it had corrupted his warrior race. He also knew that the Federation would rise to battle against the Skorr in the jihad, which is what he wanted; a noble death in battle. He was eventually subdued when Captain Kirk summoned the Vedala to retrieve them. The Vedalan promised he'd be cured of his madness.
	SORD PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Gnalish A strong reptilian with a gruff disposition, Sord carried Em/3/Green when he became too tired to continue. Sord noticed a mysterious figure on the planet surface, even though the Vedalan had told the expedition that there was no other life on the planet. The figure later turned out to Tchar.
	EM/3/GREEN PLAYED BY: David Gerrold SPECIES: Nasat An expert lock-pick and thief. Although from a race of cowards, Em/3/Green was able to operate the vehicle the expedition was given and escape from a lava flow.
	LARA PLAYED BY: Majel Barrett SPECIES: Human A hunter with a flawless directional sense. On her planet, there are more women than men and when a woman finds a man attractive, they say so. Lara found Captain Kirk to be attractive and regretted that she would not remember him.
	VEDALAN PLAYED BY: Majel Barrett SPECIES: Vedala Organized four expeditions comprised of aliens to search for the Soul of Alar on a dangerous planet ravaged by earthquakes, gravitic shifts, tidal wives and extreme temperature shifts because his race could not survive on there.
