The Enterprise meets with the
Pandronians, a race with advanced medical knowledge, to
open diplomatic relations. The Federation observer –
Honorary Commander Ari bn Bem accompanies the landing
party to the surface of the planet, but disobeys orders
by running away, and is captured by a group of angry
aborigines.
