SPECIES: Orion
Captain of a
new type of Orion ship that intercepted the S.S.
Huron and stole their cargo of dilithium and
strobolin. They attempted to hide in a volitile asteroid
field from the Enterprise, but the Federation
ship found them. In order to get the urgently needed
strobolin, Captain Kirk was willing to let the Orions
keep the dilithium for the drug. The Orion captain
agreed, but only if he gave it to Kirk in person. Unable
to trust the Starfleet captain, and determined to keep
Orion neutral, the Orion captain decided to destroy the
explosive asteroid both ships were close to which would
have destroyed his ship as well as the Enterprise
in the process. Captain Kirk managed to stop his plan
and prevent him from committing suicide to bring Orion's
long history of neutrality and piracy to an end. |
