	ROMULAN COMMANDER PLAYED BY: James Doohan SPECIES: Romulan Captain of a Romulan fleet that ambushed the U.S.S. Enterprise. Intent on destroying the Federation ship, the Romulan Commander was humiliated by thinking a giant balloon was the ship he was pursuing.
	THE PRACTICAL JOKER PLAYED BY: Majel Barrett SPECIES: Energy cloud creature When the U.S.S. Enterprise passed through it's cloud to avoid three Romulan ships, "The Practical Joker" slipped aboard the vessel and used it's main computer to amuse itself by playing jokes on the crewmembers. Manifesting itself in the guise of the computer's voice, "The Practical Joker" taunted the crew by laughing at them when they fell for its pranks. With the ship under it's control, "The Joker" decided to take revenge on the Romulans who attacked the ship by tricking them into firing on a giant balloon replica of the Enterprise. "The Joker" was tricked by Captain Kirk by taking the ship back into the energy field where it was discharged from the main computer.
